A Pleasant Surprise

Beauty may be discovered each day

On the earth, in the sky and sea.

God’s handiwork is on display

Wherever we happen to be.

From dawn’s early light and into the night,

Whenever we look around,

In golden sunshine or the moon’s soft light

Glimpses of beauty are found.

Open your heart as you open your eyes

To experience life’s best things.

You may find inside a pleasant surprise

In the peace, joy and beauty God brings!

Thank you, Donna! No, I've only given my poems to others and in my books, never displayed any in my home! Thanks for that thought, though!

I don't think I've ever seen a flower like that. It's beautiful, as is the poem.

You're so right about all the beauty that God has give us to enjoy, if only we would slow down and stop to enjoy them.

Even in the absolute worst of times, focussing on what God is, can be, and has been will draw us out of the bad place and pull us into the goodness of God.

Hi Connie,

Thanks for visiting my blog. What a nice poem, and it's so TRUE! God's beauty is everywhere, if we'll just open our eyes and truly SEE!

What a wonderfully visual site! Just the pictures refreshed me and the poetry fed my soul. I plan to put your blog on my own blog roll because I think it will minister to my readers in an uplifting and like a glass of cold water on a hot summer day kind of way!

What a lovely poem; only from the heart of a loving Creator could such beauty be birthed...

Beauty in His creation, and from the words which flow from your heart!
