Passing Along a Song

A sweet song, carried on a breeze,
Floating through the air,
Whispering lightly through the trees,
Seemed to be everywhere,
Falling lightly on my ear,
Such a pleasant thing to hear!

The beauty of this melody,
Drifting across my mind,
Bringing a sense of tranquility,
A peace I'd longed to find,
I shared by humming through the day
As it continued on its way.

Someone having a problem or two,
As I was passing by,
Heard the melody coming through,
And gave a contented sigh,
As the song I carried on its way
Helped brighten up another's day.

I'm not excited about cats, but I am a huge lover of music and your poem certainly struck a chord with me. So true that we can hear a sweet song and carry it on with us to pass to another. Sometimes it can be a really goofy or even annoying song as well, but maybe there is some kind of meaning to that as well. Nice poem you have posted.
You might want to check out some song lyrics I posted in my Friday
2/5 post and let me know what you think.

Beautiful! And I love the photo. My cat was playing piano (aka thumping on the keys) last Saturday morning bright and early because the kids had left the piano open. LOL
